NIST AI ‘zero draft’ docs open — comment window runs to Sep 16
NIST’s AI Standards page states that on 29 July 2026 the agency released an initial public draft of “Guidance and Templates for Public-Facing AI Documentation: An AI Standards ‘Zero Draft.’” NIST will consider input received by 16 September 2026 for the subsequent (possibly final) revision. The Zero Drafts pilot aims to broaden participation and accelerate standards creation for submission into the private sector-led voluntary consensus standards process.
